E/BFSC Wish List

Urban Studio
Using the work of the Rural Studio in Hale County, Alabama as a model, E/BFSC has developed a partnership among architects (OPX), social services (E/BFSC, Center for the Study of Social Policy), youth programs, and the community to begin the creation of projects that support families and youth.

The first project was the Music Studio at Browne Educational Campus.  This was an incredible effort in the spring of 2008 during which the students worked side by side with the architects, social workers and teachers to create a safe place to develop their skills and showcase their talents.  While the music studio is now operational, the youth have identified some specific wish list items to enhance their space:

  • Timbales, hand drums, shakers, cowbell, tambourine, steel drum, drum sticks
  • Guitars, Keyboards
  • CD and/or video player
  • Volunteer music instructors, voice coaches

Family Day
E/BFSC’s community events are a vital component of the safety net for families and neighborhoods.  Each June, the Annual “Family Day” celebration brings community members together in a positive way; and provides a unique opportunity for service providers to connect with families.  You can support this valuable Family Day event through a sponsorship of needed supplies, services, or cash donations.  Specifically, we are seeking sponsors for the following areas: Food Stands, Moon Bounce Games, Arts and Crafts Center, Table/Chair rentals.
