Family Team Meeting Coordination

This specialized service is provided through a unique partnership with CFSA.  E/BFSC and Columbia Heights Shaw Family Support Collaborative coordinates facilitated family meetings in response to the removal or the imminent removal, of a child from his or her home. The Collaboratives engage families and community members in making proactive plans related to the safety, stability and well-being of their children.  The family plans are developed to (1) enable children to be placed with extended family members; (2) quickly address risk issues in order to return or keep children at home; and/or (3) involve one of the HFTC Collaboratives or other specialized services to provide support to stabilize or reunify the family.
